Common Communication Interface Overview

In order to connect to the Single Platform clients will need to connect to the Common Communication Interface (CCI). This will enable you to manage your activity through one single channel whether domestic or international.

Main benefits of the CCI:

  • New networks and secure messaging arrangements with BT and SWIFT
  • ScreenFlow, a screen interface that operates a pull mode accessed via the internet
  • Two delivery services for straight through processing (STP)

    1. AutoFlow Messaging
    2. AutoFlow File Transfer
  • Standardised ISO message formats
  • A security framework based on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

The CCI will be the main access point for the Single Platform. Its use will become gradually more mandatory as more business functions are migrated to the Single Platform. Clients in the Euronext markets will be able to use the CCI interface for both Corporate Actions and payments and also settlement activity as they are already ISO compliant. Euroclear UK and Ireland clients however will need to upgrade their back office systems to enable them to send out and retrieve ISO messages.
