Iseries Monitoring Agents

(1) IBM ISeries Batch Job Monitoring Agent

Access to an iSeries application to monitor various job queue and subsystems for batch job problems.

Includes monitoring for:

• Message waits
• Held jobs
• Lock waits
• Number of jobs running exceptions
  
  

(2) IBM iSeries Data Replication (Baseline) Monitor Agent

An iSeries application that monitors the validity of replicated data on the iSeries.   Everyday new objects are generated on the iSeries which are not automatically replicated to the DR iSeries.  This application monitors for such events and alerts iSeries operators through the SFL System Spy.

The applications also monitor for problems with the replication process and raises alerts through the SFL System Spy.

(3) IBM iSeries System Monitor Agent

An iSeries application that monitors the key health indicators of each iSeries and raises exceptions within the SFL System Spy.  E.g. CPU, Disk utilisation, message waits, jobs in system.

(4) IBM iSeries Automated File Transfer Facility

Access to an iSeries application that transfers save files offsite from live to test and DR.   Although used mainly for ad-hoc transfers, it is also used weekly for sending the current stock files to DR for back-office environments.
