Funds Settlement Functionality
Currently it is possible to settle cash for trades in investment funds within Euroclear. This is currently being enhanced by Euroclear to allow settlement of units.

The Simulator has been enhanced to allow you to test all the forthcoming changes well ahead of the release date which is documented to be September 2009.

DEX 18 Changes
In order to accommodate the funds functionality, there have been some changes made to the DEX:
FSFQ/FSFP Version 11 added to include fields: Product Provider, Next Product Provider and Next Registrar ID.
QFCQ Version 16 added, which returns version 11 FSFP.
These changes are now available to test in the Simulator.
CCI Testing Tool
An ISO Sample Message Generator has been developed as an aid to testing the new CCI changes that will be implemented in Euroclear. This tool will help provide an insight into the changes that will be implemented in the Safe Financials Limited ESP (Euroclear Single Platform) simulator.
The message generator allows you to quickly generate sample Inbound (to the simulator) and Outbound (from the simulator) messages with a Giovannini Header and validate this data against the associated Euroclear Schema. The tool will validate data against the schema as well as producing a copy of the ISO15022 file. This data can then be saved and used as test data in your back office systems.
Our new message generator incorporates the following features:

The purpose of Phase 1 of this tool is to get clients and software houses familiar with the structure and format of the new ISO Messages. By using this tool we hope to eliminate some basic errors that can be corrected now before functional testing begins.

Euroclear have confirmed that there are errors in the DEX and in some of the example messages in this document. Euroclear hope to have these corrected in the next updated version. We have endeavoured to correct these errors to the best of our knowledge.

Euroclear Single Platform/CCI Testing
Our plans to offer Single Platform testing are still on schedule for Q2 2009, though an exact date has yet to be confirmed.
January/February Statistics
During January and February, we processed 1.3 million messages, generating over 7.2 million responses. This equates to an average of 31,700 messages and 177,000 responses per day. The greatest number of messages processed in one day during this two month period was 69,000.
