Legacy ISO

Legacy ISO is now available as beta test functionality in the Simulator. We have developed this using the documentation issued by Euroclear and have tested a number of messages with CREST trialling. However as this is still development software, we advise that all clients also use CREST trialling prior to any ISO messaging going live.

New Simulator Functionality

We now have a new archive feature available to assist you with your testing. We can configure your environment to automatically archive either all transactions or those with a specific status after a defined number of days. This will eliminate the need for constant cleardown requests and will reduce your costs. For further information please contact Support.

New Corporate Action Proformas

We have now simplified the Corporate Action Proformas by creating a proforma for each Corporate Action type. If you want to create multiple corporate actions then please attach each one separately in your email request.

Euroclear UK and Ireland's CREST System Enhancements - April 2012

Euroclear have announced plans to implement a new software release in April 2012 involving changes to the Central Bank Money service. This project will replace the self-collateralised repo service with a new more efficient service offering greater flexibility, more automationand greater controls.

Even if you do not wish to use the functionality being introduced, there are a number of message versions that will become obsolete and will require you to upgrade to a later version - this includes the introduction of QFCQ Version 18
and deletion of Version 16. We aim to make these new message versions available to test in the Simulator early in Q1 2012.

Term DBV Enhancements - Q2 2012

Extract from Euroclear's latest UK and Ireland Focus newsletter.

"We are now working with LCH.Clearnet to assist its development of a centrally cleared Term DBV product, scheduled for Q2 2012. It will be delivered in 4 components:

• Direct input for Term DBVs – enabling Central Counterparties 
  (CCPs) to input matching client-side transactions, in anticipation of 
  the launch of the cleared Term DBV service from LCH.Clearnet (November 2011)

• Intraday mark-to-markets – a fully automated service helping you to  
  rebalance your collateral after a price change (Q2 2012)

• Partialling of giver recall – increasing settlement efficiency, by returning as 
   many securities as possible if the full requirement cannot be met (Q2 2012)

• Amending auto-splitting – the addition of Term DBV maturities to our current 
  auto-splitting service.This will further enhance settlement efficiency and 
  minimise therisk of a CCP holding securities overnight (Q2 2012)".

The Simulator and SimGUI are available as normal every business day during the holiday period from 5:30am to 8:30pm.Christmas operating hours for support desk can be found on our website.

We received over 8 million messages in the first six months of 2011 - an increase of 36% over the previous year. This resulted in over 37 million responses generated during the same period.
