Dex 18.1 is being implemented into the CREST System in two parts; All changes are now available in the Simulator for you to test.

September 2009 - release to support the implementation of Funds in the CREST system.

These changes relate to the release which will support the UK CGS (Credit Government Scheme). All changes relate to Annex A with the addition of new Components and values, namely:

New components include; Gross Central Sponsor Tariff ID 2, Next Product Provider, Next Product Provider Short Name, Other Central Sponsor Tariff ID 2.

Currently it is possible to settle cash for trades in investment funds within Euroclear. This is currently being enhanced by Euroclear to allow settlement of units.

The full service will offer:

Settlement of stock movements arising from subscriptions, redemptions and re-registrations
Settlement of cash movements
Reconciliation of participants holdings
Reconciliation between the Registrar and Euroclear
Client notification of Corporate Actions in funds securities
Payments of benefits resulting from Corporate Actions

Please note that legal title is recored and transferred outside of the CREST system.

Testing

The Simulator has been developed to allow you to test all the forthcoming changes well ahead of the release date which is documented to be September 2009.

We have tried to simplify how you test this new Funds functionality. We have produced a proforma on which you specify all trade details and email back to the Support Desk, we then upload the data into the Simulator and depending on your Direct Input configuration create pre-matched or alledged trades.

To download the proforma please visit the Downloads page and select the Funds Proforma. Fill out all the relevant fields and return.

We have our own Product Provider within the Simulator (SFLPP). However, please note it is possible for us to create others to aid your testing. We can also configure your Participant to act as a Product Provider. Please contact us so we can make the relevant changes.

Message Changes - Live in Euroclear from September 2009.

FSFQ/FSFP - remove version 9. Add version 11 to include fields: Product Provider, Next Product Provider and Next Registrar ID.

QFCQ - remove version 14. Add version 16 which returns version 11 FSFP.
