Safe Financials Limited has been successfully operating the CREST Simulator since 2000. This unique service is the only automated ‘closed loop’ settlement processing outside of the CREST trialling and CREST live environment.

The CREST Simulator has over 80 connections, spread across a wide variety of organisations, including brokers, banks, software houses and clearers.   It can be used for on-going back office testing and training system or for ‘one-off’ projects. No gateway is needed for testing as it is a web-based service.

Safe Financials has now used our experience gained from the CREST Simulator to launch, in conjunction with the LSE, the DMA Simulator.  This gives traders an insight into placing orders onto a virtual order book, in a safe but realistic environment.

Based on Safe Financials’ new Exchange Terminal (XT) technology, this provides a powerful backbone for accessing the TradElect system from LSE.
